Rudy Grant will soon be heading north to become Barbados’ Consul General in Miami.

This was revealed yesterday by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, two days after it was announced that the former Government senator was stepping down as chief executive officer (CEO) of the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA), a position he has held for the past six years.

“I have asked Mr Grant whether he will serve as our consul general at Miami. He has agreed and gave the appropriate notice to his employers,” Mottley said at a press conference at Grantley Adams International Airport yesterday evening.

“He agreed sometime ago and he will now take up the post at a date he and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have agreed upon,” she added. (BW)
