Mask option

Share post:

Come Wednesday, Barbadians and visitors can choose whether they will wear a mask outdoors or not – except on public transport or at schools.

From that day as well, fully vaccinated visitors arriving at Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) no longer have to produce a COVID-19 test.

However, mask-wearing indoors remains mandatory.

These were among the relaxed COVID-19 protocols announced by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley yesterday.

She explained that the change comes at a time when the trajectory of the country’s fourth wave of the pandemic was trending downwards. She made it clear though that should the numbers spike again, Government would not hesitate to tighten restrictions where necessary. (CLM)
