One man killed in early morning shooting

One man is dead after a police-involved shooting incident near Eagle Hall, St Michael.

Police spokesman, acting inspector Rodney Inniss, said the victim was the occupant of a vehicle.

Three police officers also went off for medical attention, but none appeared to have been shot during the incident which occurred around 4 a.m. on Tuesday.

Lawmen are still on the scene and the area has been cordoned off. A significant disruption of vehicular traffic is anticipated and diversions are in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the area if they can. (PR/SAT)
