Syberton Marcelle Miller, who was described by her two daughters as “heartless”, a “sociopath” and “evil personified”, was ordered to serve eight years in prison for killing her husband four years ago.

However, her time in jail will be minus the three and a half years she has spent on remand. Her attorney Arthur Holder has already indicated he will appeal.

Miller, 66, of 5th Avenue, Rowans Park North, St George, was back in the No. 3 Supreme Court yesterday after pleading guilty to unlawfully killing – manslaughter – her husband Cecil Miller, a former chairman of the Barbados Tourism Product Authority, at their home between September 17 and 18, 2018.

Senior State Counsel Neville Watson appeared for the prosecution. (HLE)
