145 new virus cases

There were 145 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, 59 males and 86 females, recorded on Friday, June 3, from the 704 tests carried out by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Of the positive cases, 21 people were under the age of 18, and 124 were 18 years and older. The number of people in isolation facilities was 43, while 1 602 were in home isolation.

No deaths were recorded, and the number of those who died from the virus remains at 462.

The public health laboratory has conducted 689 579 tests since February 2020, and recorded 81 319 COVID-19 cases (37 105 males and 44 214 females).

Under the National COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, the total number of people with at least one dose is 162 462 (71.1 per cent of the eligible population).

The total number of fully-vaccinated people is 152 909 (56.4 per cent of the total population or 67.0 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents people who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
