The body of a man was discovered in the road at Morris Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael earlier tonight.
Acting assistant superintendent Victor Forde told The Nation police arrived at the scene around 8:15 p.m. and the victim had what appeared to be gunshot injuries to the body.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was later pronounced dead by a police medical officer.
Investigations are continuing and Forde appealed to members of the public who may have information to contact CID at 430-7189 or the police emergency number 211. Â (SAT)
