Goals win games.

Head coach of the Barbados senior men’s national football team, Russell Latapy, is calling on his players to be more clinical on the attack ahead of their home fixture against Guadeloupe in the Concacaf Nations League here in St Lucia tomorrow at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

The Tridents returned to the Helen of the West Indies on Monday night, following a 3-0 defeat to Cuba in Santiago last Sunday.

Their attention has now shifted to an all-important first leg against the French region with the intention of scoring goals to gain three vital points.

“With the [number] of chances that we created in the last two games, I can’t believe that we haven’t scored. I think, with a little more composure in the attacking third and in front of goal, we will be good. There were some really good things that happened within the last couple of games,” Latapy told MIDWEEKSPORT yesterday during an interview. (AGB)
