COVID-19 Update for June 15

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 98 new COVID-19 cases, 35 males and 63 females, from the 494 tests conducted on Wednesday, June 15.

The cases comprised 21 people under the age of 18, and 77 who were 18 years and older.

There were 22 people in isolation facilities, while 1 050 were in home isolation.

As at June 15, there were 471 COVID-19 related deaths.

The public health laboratory has conducted 696 068 tests since February 2020, and recorded 82 643 COVID-19 cases (37 655 males and 44 988 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 162 555 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population).

The number of fully vaccinated people is 153 168 (56.5 per cent of the total population or 67.1 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
