COVID-19 Update for June 20

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 145 new COVID-19 cases, 60 males and 85 females, from the 733 tests conducted on Monday, June 20.

The cases comprised 38 people under the age of 18, and 107 who were 18 years and older.

There were 23 people in isolation facilities, while 796 were in home isolation.

As at June 20, there were 472 COVID-19 related deaths.

The public health laboratory has conducted 698 521 tests since February 2020, and recorded 83 095 COVID-19 cases (37 854 males and 45 241 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 162 467 (71.1 per cent of the eligible population). The number of fully vaccinated is 153 284 (56.6 per cent of the total population or 67.1 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
