UPDATE: Fatal shooting in The City

One man is confirmed dead and three others injured in the early morning shooting incident which took place in the area of the Blackwoods Screw Dock in Cavans Lane, The City, on Saturday.

Police say Rashad Mathurin, 26, of Westbury Road, St Michael, was shot and killed. His body was discovered at the scene when they responded to a report of explosions in the area just after midnight.

Larry Clarke of Greenfield St Michael; Eva Goodridge, 27, of Appleby St James and 31-year-old Akeem Arthur, of Ferniehurst Black Rock, St Michael were also injured and taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

Four vehicles were damaged in the incident.

Members of the public who have information about the incident are asked to call 211, 429-8787 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800- TIPS (8477).
