Tests have identified 210 new COVID-19 cases in Barbados.
Health authorities said on Wednesday the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 101 males and 109 females had been tested positive for the viral illness from 673 tests conducted on Tuesday.
Of the people testing positive for the illness, 41 were under the age of 18, and 169 were 18 years and older.
There are currently treating 112 people in isolation facilities around the island, and 1 432 were being monitored under the home isolation programme.
The Ministry of Health also indicated that 162 658 people (71.2 per cent of the eligible population) had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine under the national vaccination programme.
The total number of fully vaccinated people has ticked up to 153 604 – that is 56.7 per cent of the total population, or 67.3 per cent of the eligible population, which represents anyone 12 years and older.
