COVID-19 Update for July 10

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 144 new COVID-19 cases, 56 males and 88 females, from the 458 tests conducted on Sunday, July 10.

Of the positive cases, 30 people were under the age of 18, and 114 were 18 years and older.

There were 52 people in isolation facilities, while 1 589 were in home isolation.

As at July 10, there were 478 COVID-19 related deaths.

The public health laboratory has conducted 711 440 tests since February 2020, and recorded 86 154 COVID-19 cases (39 402 males and 46 752 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 162 721 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population).

The number of fully vaccinated is 153 685 (56.7 per cent of the total population or 67.3 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
