COVID-19 Update for July 25

There were 470 people, 199 males and 271 females, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, July 25, from the 1 208 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The new cases consisted of 81 people under the age of 18, and 389 who were 18 years and older.

The number of people in isolation facilities was 56, while 2 607 were in home isolation.

As at July 25, there were 484 COVID-19 related deaths.

The public health laboratory has conducted 724 241 tests since February 2020, and recorded 90 550 COVID-19 cases (41 264 males and 49 286 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 162 903 (71.3 per cent of the eligible population).

The number of fully vaccinated is 153 923 (56.8 per cent of the total population or 67.4 per cent of the eligible population).  The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
