Female driver injured in accident

A 22-year-old female driver was treated for injuries after an accident along Walmer Lodge, near the Lazaretto, in St Michael early Saturday morning.

The woman, whose name has not yet been released, was the sole occupant of the car which collided with the rock wall near the entrance to the Usain Bolt Complex.

She was treated at the scene by medical personnel, initially complaining of head, chest and back injuries. She was subsequently transported by ambulance for medical attention.

Police received the report around 6:30 a.m. Investigations are continuing. (PR/SAT)
