Barbados relay team through to Commonwealth final

The Barbados men are through to the finals of the 4×400 metres relay at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

Earlier today, the team of Rasheeme Griffith, Jonathan Jones, Miguel Nicholas and Kyle Gayle clocked 3 minutes 07.23 seconds to take the last spot in the final.

Botswana has the fastest time of 3:05.11

Meanwhile, Sada Williams, Jones and Gayle are all scheduled to run in the semi-finals of the 400 metres this afternoon.

Williams is in the second of two heats, while Gayle is in heat one and Jones in heat two. There are three heats for the men.

The advancement formula is the same, with the first two in each securing automatic qualification and the field will be rounded out on time for Sunday’s final. (SAT)
