The death of 30-year-old Jonathan Fabian Ricardo Forte has left his family and friends in shock.
Police reported that Forte, a father of three, used a bed sheet to hang himself on Wednesday night from a door frame in the apartment he used to share with his partner in Ashdeane Village, Black Rock, St Michael.
Lawmen from Black Rock Police Station received the call at 11:30 p.m. and Forte was later pronounced dead by a doctor, with family members identifying the body.
His mother was not at home when a Weekend Nation team visited her Deacons Farm, St Michael home and his grandmother said she was in no position to speak.
Forte’s friends, with whom he used to hang out in Deacons Farm, described him as a “cool, quiet man”. (CA)
