One dead, one injured in City shooting

One man is dead and another receiving treatment for injuries in the wake of a shooting incident at Beckwith Street, St Michael, on Sunday night.

Police say the deceased was identified as Akil Amir Jaaunai Bryan, 26, of the same community, by his mother Tracy Junai.

Bryan’s body was discovered around 11:12 p.m.

He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by private car and pronounced dead on arrival by a medical doctor

Gladstone Llewelyn Bridgeman, 43, of the same address, received an injury to his right thigh and is being treated at the QEH.
