COVID-19 Update for September 2

There were 105 new COVID-19 cases, 49 males and 56 females, recorded on Friday, September 2, from the 397 tests carried out by laboratories across the island.

The positive cases comprised 13 people under the age of 18, and 92 who were 18 years and older.

The number of people in isolation facilities was 75, while 795 were in home isolation.

As at September 2, there were 544 COVID-19 related deaths.

The laboratories carried out 756 400 tests since February 2020, and recorded 101 397 COVID-19 cases (45 876 males and 55 521 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 163 275 (71.5 per cent of the eligible population).

The number of people who are fully vaccinated is 154 421 (57.0 per cent of the total population or 67.6 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
