Two men charged for murder

Police said on Friday they had arrested and formally charged two men in connection with the death of Carline Baird.

According to a police statement, personnel in the Major Crimes unit and the Criminal Investigations Department at Hastings held Reco Rajon Eversley, 25, of Lower Estate, St George, and Reinko Leroy Ryian Alleyne, 25, of Salisbury, St George for the murder of the 44-year-old Guyanese on July 22 in Bush Hill, St Michael.

The police statement added that the two men have also been jointly charged for a case of robbery and a case of theft, which happened on the same date at Bush Hill.

Police also said Eversley was charged separately for a case of theft of a motor car from a residence at Salisbury, St George, which happened between August 12 and 13.

Both accused are scheduled to appear in the District “A” Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
