One injured in shooting incident on Bay Street

One man was shot in the left foot on Sunday evening during the latest reported shooting incident in Barbados.

Police are now conducting investigations into the incident which occurred around 4:35 p.m. at Sol Banyan Court, Bay Street, St Michael.

According to a release from the Barbados Police Service, a group of young men were in the car park of a local business when they were approached by two men who opened fire on them. The injured man was transported by ambulance for medical attention.

Members of the public who may have information are asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Department (Hastings/Worthing Station) at 430-7608, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest Police Station.
