Expect more rain today.

The Barbados Meteorological Services has upgraded the flash-flood watch to a warning for Central Districts, while the former remains in effect for the remainder of the island.

A flash-flood warning is issued when rapid flooding due to heavy or excessive rainfall in a short period of time (generally less than six hours) is occurring or is imminent in the warning area.

The Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues to affect the island. Parts of Barbados recorded between one to two inches of

rainfall this morning and an additional one to three inches is possible today.

The alert will be in effect until noon. (PR/SAT)
