COVID-19 Update for September 28

Thirty new COVID-19 cases, 10 males and 20 females, were recorded on Tuesday, September 28, from the 309 tests conducted by laboratories across the island.

Of the positive cases, three people were under the age of 18, and 27 were 18 years and older.

There were 28 people in isolation facilities, while 199 were in home isolation.

As at September 28, there were 559 COVID-19 related deaths.

The laboratories conducted 765 378 tests since February 2020, and recorded 102 546 COVID-19 cases (46 385 males and 56 161 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the number of people with at least one dose is 163 636 (71.6 per cent of the eligible population).

The number of fully vaccinated is 154 657 (57.1 per cent of the total population or 67.7 per cent of the eligible population). The eligible population represents those who are 12 years and older. (BGIS)
