Police investigating death at Brandons beach

Police are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Fabian Alleyne, 29, of 1st Ave, Jackson, St Michael whose unresponsive body was recovered from the sea at Malibu Beach, Brandons, about 7:20 p.m. on Sunday.

Alleyne went to the beach around 4 p.m. with friends but got into difficulty while swimming, police say.

The incident was reported to them and both the Marine Unit and the Barbados Coast Guard recovered his body from the sea.

Alleyne was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor and later identified by a family member.
