Scores of animal lovers gathered at Pebbles Beach on Tuesday evening for the first ever Animal Day Walk.

Local animal charities and organisations traditionally recognise the day with various individual events. However this year they decided to come together for one big event which they hoped would encourage Barbadians to pay more attention to the welfare of all animals.

One of the event organizers, Lavern Beresford, said she was pleased with the turn out and expected more people would meet up at the end of the walk at Bay Street Esplanade. (KI)
