The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society marked its 25th anniversary with a church service at the Berean Bible Church in Hothersal Turning, St Michael, on Sunday.

Clad in orange, members of the church, led by Pastor Paul Garnes, welcomed the members of the MS Society in worship to celebrate the milestone.

During the service, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Corey Layne, congratulated the society and said his presence at the event was a continued signal of the support of the ministry and Government of Barbados.

“It gives me great pleasure to be here with them celebrating their silver anniversary, 25 years, and someone who came up in the community-based organisation movement knows that it is no small feat to make it to 25 years. We’re not only celebrating with them, but we are making a recommitment to them to be able to support their activities and their development as a disabled community,” he said.
