Fire of unknown origin broke out at a derelict wood and wall structure at Military Road, Bush Hall, St Michael, just after 10 a.m. today.

The Barbados Fire Service responded with two fire tenders and six officers to extinguish the blaze.

Leading fire officer Smith, who led the team, said although the house was derelict, there appeared to be someone living in the building. He said there were no utilities in the house, so it was not clear how the fire started. (SAT)
