Some of the public sector vehicle (PSV) operators in the Transport Augmentation Programme (TAP) are again complaining of late payments.

This time, some say they have not received their concessionary funds since September.

Vice-chairman of TAP Commitee, Rodney Bellamy, confirmed this yesterday after several drivers raised their concerns with the Daily Nation. They were scheduled to meet later in the day to discuss the issues.

“It’s not just the association, but TAP owners have a delay in their concessionary payments right now. These delays don’t always occur, but they have occurred in the past and this one has been protracted and has been longer than usual,” he said.

Bellamy said that because of these delays, the more than 100 operators affected had run into trouble keeping up with their loans and other responsibilities. (Nation News)
