Belize PM on official visit to Venezuela

Belmopan, Belize – Prime Minister John Briceño is heading a delegation to Venezuela where he is expected to hold high-level discussions on various bilateral initiatives and programmes, according to an official statement issued here.

It said that Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration Minister, Eamon Courtenay, is among the delegation and that the visit is at the invitation of the Nicolas Maduro administration.

The statement said he will meet with President Maduro and Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, adding “the people and governments of Belize and Venezuela share a broad and enduring relationship which has included cooperation in multiple areas of mutual benefit”.

Prime Minister Briceno will return here on Sunday. (CMC)
