Possible delays at QEH due to internet issues

Share post:

Due to the lack of internet and systems access at the hospital, it has become necessary to implement the following temporary changes effective December 14th, 2022.

PHARMACY

New prescriptions issued in the outpatient clinics and the A&E will be facilitated at the Polyclinics, and not the QEH pharmacy. Please note that these medications are to be refilled at the same location until further notice.

Home delivery – Patients who submitted requests for home delivery of medications on Dec 12 or 13 by email, are asked to note that we are unable to facilitate the requests at this time. Further instructions will follow.

Repeats of prescriptions originally filled at the QEH Pharmacy will continue to be filled there as usual. Please remember to bring your empty medication containers to ease the facilitation of the process.

OUTPATIENT CLINICS

Outpatient clinics remain open, however, there may be delays.

ACCIDENT & EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

The Department remains open to the public, but delays may be experienced.

RADIOLOGY
Appointments for CT scans, ultrasounds and xrays scheduled for December 14 are postponed. Patients will be contacted with new dates.

For further information please contact the Patient Liaison Service (Help Desk) at 536-4800. The QEH remains committed to serving you, and will keep you updated on the situation. (PR)
