The consistent Mark “Venom” Griffith and Sheldene Walrond will be gunning for another Professional Road Tennis Association title, while exciting attackers Davien “Force Ripe” Taylor and Rachel Smith will be eyeing their first when the Barbados Cup climaxes this evening at the Netball Stadium.

Smith set up the finals clash with Walrond after the mercurial player ousted Abigail Haynes 21-14, 15-21, 21-15 at the semi-final stage on Friday night.

Walrond enjoyed an uncontested passage as her opponent Maudlyn Blunt left the island after qualifying for the match-up.

Smith will be hoping that she can repeat her heroics of 2018 when she captured the St James title, defeating Walrond in the final in her own backyard in Haynesville.  (KB)
