The Nation Group (a member of the One Caribbean Media Group) has announced the commissioning of its one-megawatt (MW) commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Boarded Hall, St George.

The addition of this new system will bring the installed PV systems to a total of 1.5MW solar systems across the island.

Chief Executive Officer of the Nation Group of Companies, Noel Wood, said: “The commissioning of the new solar farm marks an important milestone for the Group and demonstrates our commitment to investing in renewable energy.

“We endeavour to continue making strides in this industry through our subsidiary Innogen Technologies, in alignment with the Barbados National Energy Policy, which was designed to achieve 100 per cent renewable energy and carbon neutral transformational goals by 2030.”

The Nation Group plans to expand its current solar installations with an investment of an additional 3MWs following the approval of its applications. (PR)
