COVID testing over the holidays

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has advised that COVID-19 testing sites will operate at revised times during the Christmas and New Year holidays.

On Saturday, December 24, the sites at the Queen’s Park Steel Shed, Constitution Road, and the Wildey Gymnasium, Wildey, St Michael, will open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

All testing sites will be closed on Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25.

Queen’s Park Steel Shed will be the only site operating on Boxing Day, Monday, December 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Wildey Gymnasium will be open between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Christmas bank holiday, Tuesday, December 27, while all other sites remain closed.

Additionally, on New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31, the Queen’s Park Steel Shed and Wildey Gymnasium will both conduct testing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All other sites will be closed.

None of the testing sites will operate on New Year’s Day, Sunday, January, 1, 2023.

The Queen’s Park Steel Shed will be the only site open on the New Year’s bank holiday, Monday, January 2. It will operate from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Normal operating hours will resume for all sites from Tuesday, January 3, as follows:

Queen’s Park Steel Shed: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wildey Gymnasium: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Sundays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Eunice Gibson Polyclinic, Warrens, and Branford Taitt Polyclinic, Black Rock, St Michael – Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (PR)
