A man has died after allegedly experiencing an epileptic seizure and falling overboard at the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex.

When a Nation team visited the complex on Princess Alice Highway, fishermen were gathered around a boat, where the man was lying.

Fisherman Jeff Husbands said the man had experienced a seizure and he helped him. However, he said he turned his attention to assisting another fisherman and heard a commotion.

Husbands said that is when he saw his hat floating on the water, before Kyle Elder and Miguel Davis jumped in and pulled him out.

It is the third tragic incident for the day, following the death of an elderly man in a house fire at Westmoreland, St James, and a fatal shooting at St Hill Road, Carrington Village, St Michael. (RA)
