Police probing unnatural death

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an unnatural death after fire destroyed a house with a shop attached at Westmoreland, St James.

Arriving at the scene, they were informed by personnel from the Barbados Fire Service that a body was inside the building.

The person has not yet been identified.

No other property was damaged.

Three fire tenders responded and extinguished the blaze.

Police say they received the report of the house fire around 2:06 a.m. on Wednesday. (PR/SAT)
