No COVID deaths, increase in cases

There were no COVID-19 deaths from December 10 to 23, but Barbados recorded 571 new cases from 2 425 tests.

This represents 43 more cases, but 732 fewer tests when compared to the previous period November 26 to December 9. Overall, the country has 568 deaths from the viral illness.

Barbados has recorded 105 515 COVID-19 cases, comprising 47 639 men and 57 86 women.

At present, 60.5 per cent of the population has received at least one dose of an approved vaccine, while 57.2 per cent is considered fully vaccinated. (SAT)
