British visitor dies on Weston road

British visitor Malachy Raymond Weedon is the first road fatality for 2023.

Weedon, 49, died on the spot around 11:20 p.m. on Saturday along Weston, St James.

He was staying at Marville Guest House, in Weston, and was walking in the area when he was involved in a collision with a car driven by a 31-year-old resident of Little Bay, St Lucy.

The driver was travelling north towards Speightstown and the accident occurred in the area of John Moore bar.

Police are investigating this matter. (PR/SAT)
