Man in stable condition after shooting

A 34-year-old man underwent surgery after being shot at the Haynesville Housing area, Haynesville, St James, around 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

The man, who is a resident of the community, was said to be in stable condition.

Police say an anonymous caller reported the shooting near the Bailey canteen.

According to the caller, a car was seen driving in the area before multiple gunshots were heard. The man sustained injuries to his upper torso and was taken by private car for medical attention. (PR/SAT)
