The Ministry of Education may review the date for this year’s Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination (BSSEE), widely known as the Common Entrance Exam or the 11-Plus.

It is scheduled to be held on May 2, up from July 5 in 2022, and the earliest since the pandemic years. Some members of the public are calling for it to be later in the term.

“The public had put out there a cry for the change of date, and what I can say is that the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education, they have heard the cry and I am sure they will address it,” said Education officer Shamin Ally.

She was speaking at the final town hall meeting at the Deighton Griffith School on Thursday evening. (Nation News)
