The Frederick Smith Secondary School, located at Trents, St James, will be closed for all students, tomorrow, Friday, March 10, 2023.

Today, the school had to be closed early due to a shortage of teaching staff.  Senior officials of the Ministry of Education held an emergency meeting this morning with the executive members of the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT).

There will be a follow up meeting tomorrow with all staff to discuss issues highlighted by the BUT.

It is expected that school will resume on Monday, March 13, 2023. (PR/SAT)
