Attorneys for both sides will make their sentencing submissions today when self-confessed murderer Cheriss Ricardo Omar Ince returns to the No. 2 Supreme Court.

Ince, of Nursery No. 2, Four Roads, St Philip, pleaded guilty to the non-capital murder of 75-year-old Marcelle Claudia Smith, between October 12 and October 25, 2015.

Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Alliston Seale, along with State Counsel Anastacia McMeo and Paul Prescod, appeared for the state, while Ince was represented by attorney Safiya Moore.

Smith disappeared on October 12, 2015. Six days later, her husband’s silver-grey Toyota Yaris, which she had been driving, was found abandoned near Chelston Park, St Michael. Her decomposing body was discovered in a ravine six days later after Ince led investigators there.

Justice Randall Worrell presides. (HLE)
