Guard injured in supermarket robbery

Police are investigating a robbery which occurred at Channell Supermarket, Black Rock, St Michael earlier this evening.

A man who was armed with a knife, entered the business and stole an undisclosed sum of money from a cashier after she opened the cash register.

A security guard was injured when he attempted to stop the man, who ran away.

The guard was treated by two medical doctors who visited the scene and he was later taken to the hospital for further treatment. (PR/SAT)
