Unbeaten Pinelands are simply unstoppable in the Cooperators General Insurance BABA Premier League.

They sustained their winning ways by eventually dismissing the challenge from Church Village Spartans 94-80 in Saturday night’s double header at the Barbados Community College.

Pinelands did not have an easy walk to victory in the early stages as Spartans took the lead on a few occasions even if it was by no more than two points.

By the end of the first quarter the score was 18-16 to Pinelands but they gradually pulled away in the last five minutes of the second quarter despite a herculean performance from Spartans’ captain Theo Greenidge who scored 37 points along with four rebounds, five assists and four steals. (DG)
