King of Soca Machel Montano will headline this year’s Tipsy Music Festival (TMF).

He made that announcement on Friday night during an electrifying live performance at Caribbean Airlines’ “Welcome Home” campaign.

“I’m actually going to be in Barbados on July 23 for Tipsy, so I can’t give you everything tonight, but I can give you a warm-up“, he said at  Copacabana Beach club, Bay Street, St Michael.

Montano also announced he would be performing at Ras Iley and Friends at Kensington on Sunday.

Meanwhile, this year’s TMF is scheduled for July 22-23, during the Crop Over Festival.

In a release, TMF said that they had evolved into a sensational two-day music festival experience as the organisers celebrate ten years of Tipsy.

“Building on its success, the festival sees the return of Tipsy’s signature beach event on Day 1, offering patrons an immersive and unforgettable celebration of music, culture and stunning seaside views,” the release said.

In honour of their anniversary, TMF’s Day 1 Beach event will be free to patrons who purchase a Day 2 ticket, and with Machel Montano headlining, they said TMF 2023 will emerge as “the ultimate celebration of Caribbean music, culture, and the vibrant spirit of Barbados”. (TG/PR)
