Visits to Ward 6B at the Geriatric Hospital, Beckles Road, St Michael, have been suspended temporarily, due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

Four patients have tested positive for the virus between Monday, May 29 and today, Tuesday, June 6, says the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

The Ministry is closely monitoring the situation and measures have been put in place to control the spread of COVID-19 in the hospital.

Members of the public will be informed as to when visits will resume on Ward 6B. Any inconvenience caused to family members and friends is deeply regretted. (PR/SAT)
