One man is dead following a head-on collision between a car and a flatbed truck along Cottage Road, St George, earlier Sunday.
Both vehicles, solely occupied by the drivers, were traveling in opposite directions.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. His body had to be extricated by personnel from the Barbados Fire service.
The truck driver complained of injuries to both legs and his left wrist. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance for medical attention.
Both vehicles had significant damage.
The collision occurred around 9:15 a.m.
Police investigations are continuing. This is the ninth road fatality for 2023. (PR/SAT)
