Assault and robbery in Waterford car park

A woman was assaulted and her vehicle stolen around 9:45p.m. on Monday.

According to police, she was sitting alone in the vehicle in the car park next to the Netball Stadium at Waterford, St Michael, when she was confronted by one man, armed with an object.

She was ordered to get out of the car, was physically assaulted and then three men fled in the vehicle.

The victim ran for assistance from other people before the report was made to the police, who have launched an investigation. (PR/SAT)
