It was a short-lived escape attempt by a man recently remanded to prison after being convicted of shooting at police five years ago.

Richad Barry Boyce, of 2nd Avenue, Kellman Land, Black Rock, St Michael, made a dash for freedom from the No. 2 Supreme Court yesterday.

He had darted through the connecting doors, from No. 2 to the No. 3 Supreme Court, out of that court, into the foyer and hurdled the turnstile before he slammed into the closed glass doors of the Supreme Court Complex.

He was quickly held by police and prison officers, who had given chase, and brought back into the No. 2 Supreme Court where he was facing a charge of murder. The murder case was down for case management. (HLE)
