Cricket West Indies (CWI) Senior Men’s selection panel has announced one change to the Test squad that suffered a comprehensive innings and 141-run loss to India at Windsor Park, Dominica, last week.

Off spinning all rounder Kevin Sinclair has replaced Raymon Reifer in the squad, but the latter will still travel to Trinidad as cover in the event of injury.

Sinclair was among the leading players in the West Indies Championship four-day first-class competition earlier this year. He also played a significant role with bat and ball in the recent West Indies “A” Team series win in Bangladesh.

He has played 18 first class matches, taking 54 wickets, including three five-wicket hauls at an average of 23.98. He averages 29 with the bat, scoring 756 runs, including six half centuries.

The upcoming second Cycle Pure Agarbathi Test Match powered by YES BANK will be the 100th Test match between West Indies and India, with the first meeting coming in 1948 at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.

The full squad for the match at the Queen’s Park Oval which takes place between July 20th and 24 is: Kraigg Brathwaite (Captain), Jermaine Blackwood (Vice Captain), Alick Athanaze, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Rahkeem Cornwall, Joshua Da Silva, Shannon Gabriel, Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, Kirk McKenzie, Kemar Roach, Kevin Sinclair, Jomel Warrican. Travelling Reserves: Tevin Imlach, Akeem Jordan. (JC)
