Investigations into death at Speightstown

Police in the Northern Division are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the drowning of Stephen Peter Licorish, 64 years, of no fixed place of abode and formerly of Alexandria, St Peter

His unresponsive body was discovered about 8:50 a.m. on Sunday on the northern side of the Speightstown Jetty, St Peter.

Two pedestrians who were on the jetty noticed that the body was face down and floating in the water. A medical doctor pronounced death and a family member identified the body.

Anyone who can provide any information that can assist with these investigations is asked to call the District ‘E’ Police Station at 419-1730, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest Police Station.
