Power By Four pulls out

Power By Four will not be part of Grand Kadooment on Monday.

Veteran bandleader Chetwin Stewart said the decision was a tough one to make, especially on the heels of the band missing out on Grand Kadooment last year.

“Last year the costumes didn’t reach Barbados in time,” he stated, adding that logistical issues was the problem.

“We had a whole year to sort that out, so we were bringing last year’s costumes on the road this year, but then we saw what the other bands were bringing and they had high value, so we decided that we were going to change the costumes,” he said.

Stewart said the decision to change was made “too late” and that didn’t give them enough time to properly execute their vision. (TG)
